Training for innovation

Training is a source of motivation and personal growth and, at the same time, paves the way for innovation and achievement of new challenges that enable us to continue leading the market.

In 2018, we invested a total of €2.15 million in training programmes aimed at attracting, retaining and developing talent. In total, 2,884 employees participated for a total of nearly 130,000 accumulated training hours.

Cicerone® Programme

Mahou San Miguel now has 15 employees certified in different levels of this internationally prestigious training programme which instructs future beer sommeliers.

The employees of our brewery in Lleida who participated in this programme had the opportunity to receive training on Beer Culture to learn to become the best ambassadors of the products they make each day.

System of Excellence

Training has already been provided to 50% of our staff to establish a new work culture in the company which prioritises effectiveness and agility. People, their leadership capacity, communication between the different areas and better follow-up of actions constitute the essential keys of the System of Excellence, the new model we are rolling out on a scaled basis in our organisation.

Industrial Specialisation

In 2018, we held the second edition of the Industrial Specialisation Course at our brewery in Alovera. After nine months of training, the students received an official certificate in Electromechanics and Mechatronics. This project was undertaken in conjunction with the Council of Education, Culture and Sport of Castilla-La Mancha and the Castilla de Guadalajara Institute.
